You think people our age will be able to afford to retire? Ha.

That’s something the boomers and upper classes took with them.

Boomers and gen X are the ones not able to retire. Most of the younger generations have that ability.

They haven’t saved for retirement and grew up in an Era with with work offering pensions as rare.

Younger generations have greater growth and more savings across the board.

            Holy fuck.

Generational wealth gap is an undisputed economic reality, especially when comparing any generation to boomers. Boomers have acquired more wealth by ever age benchmark than any generation to ever exist.

And pensions were very common decades ago. Now they’re mostly gone:

Trash data. That data conflate the average grandpa with Billionaire CEOs.

Assuming every member of the 1% in the US is a baby boomer, the value of the real estate they own accounts for about 1/3rd of the total real estate wealth owned by boomers.

The 1% have also benefited modestly from rising real-estate values. Their real-estate holdings increased by just under $1 trillion during the pandemic, to reach a high of $5.27 trillion.

Why are you talking trash instead of delivering? This is the best way to learn something new for bystanders like me and you give up…

I fully expect a lot of the younger generations to say “fuck it” and just live in poverty instead.

I’m already seeing this attitude in my adult son and his friends and it’s getting increasing hard to motivate him when he sees no light at the end of the tunnel to work for.
