Advisers to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump are developing a comprehensive sanctions strategy aimed at facilitating a diplomatic resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war, Bloomberg reported on Jan. 16, citing anonymous sources familiar with the discussions.
My point is: All the western states have already been sanctioning Russia for years now.
It’s news because everyone assumed he would just stop sending stuff to Ukraine and saying Russia, you get whatever you want to claim.
Everyone already understood that, my dude.
I think what that person is saying is: even if Trump tries (and fails) by doing the same shit that’s already been tried and failed, that is STILL better than what Trump hinted at doing, which is feeding Ukraine to the wolves.
